Cycling

The Tyne and Wear Partners are keen to increase cycle journeys to work, school and for leisure. Our aim is to reduce reliance on the private motor vehicle, in order to reduce congestion, improve air quality and increase levels of physical activity.

The Plan Partners work together with cycling organisations to develop the network, in order to improve connectivity for both utility and leisure cycle routes.
